About NSW CPD Points

As of 23rd March 2023, the requirements for CPD in NSW have changed yet again.  Licensced agents are now required to complete 4 hours of CPD with the compulsory topics set by NSW Fair Trading, and also an additional 4 hours for any secondary Licence they may hold. EG: Stock & Station or Strata. If you obtain your 4 hours through ACOP, your second LIC requirement can be attained in 2 hours instead of an additional 4 hours.  All of these sessions must be conducted by an approved training provider, such as our preferred supplier ACOP.  Assistant Agents are not required to complete CPD during the period 23rd March – 22nd March, however it is mandatory that they complete a minimum of 3 Units of Competency as they work through the modules towards obtaining their Class 2 Licence.

If there are any licencsed agents who are yet to complete the full 4 hours of CPD for the current period, they must do this by 22nd March each year.  Elders engaged ACOP to run multiple interactive webinars and face to face sessions for our agents throughout the year, and therefore do not plan on running any more before the March deadline.  We would recommend checking the ACOP site for available upcoming sessions https://acop.edu.au/cpd/

About TAS CPD Points

A property agent must undertake a minimum of 8 points of Board approved CPD in each licence year (1 July to 30 June).  An approved CPD activity can only be claimed once.

At least 6 of the 8 points of CPD must be directly related to the property agents industry and the property agent may have up to 2 points of approved CPD of a more general nature that is not necessarily directly connected to the property agents industry.

Further, a minimum of 2 points of CPD must be provided by an external provider.  The term external provider means that the CPD Activity is delivered by a person external to the organisation.
